Bayern Munich midfielder Thomas Muller said on Tuesday that his good stats against Lionel Messi "are a thing of the past and have nothing to do" with this Wednesday's game against PSG.
"Naturally I know my stats in games against Messi. Before a match like this, things like that are always talked about. There have games like our 2-8 win against Barcelona, but I think our 7-0 win in the semi-final was more important", Muller stated.
However, the German striker was already looking forward: "But that was ten years ago. The stats are a thing of the past. It's a new game", he added.
When speaking about what Mbappe said, who said that PSG are the favourites for Wednesday, he revealed that Bayern are going to try and show him he was wrong.
"He can see things how he wants. We won the first leg 0-1 and we've got the advantage. But naturally he's full of confidence. Our task will be to show him he's wrong", he commented.
When asked who his favourite PSG player is, he answered "It's Kylian, the answer doesn't surprise anyone. The whole world is watching. But if our plan works, he's not going to have fun", he made clear.
