If only VAR could be like this in Europe!

In the match between the Sydney FC and Melbourne City, the broadcasters allowed the spectators to listen to the conversations between the referee and the VAR after a controversial incident. 

It was in the 25th minute of the match, Rhyan Grant made a bad challenge in midfield and was given a yellow card. However, the VAR told Kurt Ams to have another look at the incident. 

At that moment in time, the viewers could hear the VAR say. "That for me is serious foul play,"

"Yeah, you're absolutely right," the referee replies. 

"Rhyan Grant, red card, the VAR tells Ams and the on-field official says: "Yellow to red, I've got it." Seconds later, he goes to the Sydney player and sends him off. 

Simple, but maximum transparency. In fact, the 'Herald' reports that IFAB could use the A-League as a league for trialling VAR communication being broadcast live during the game.
