"If I have to choose the perfect coach for my style of play, it's Guardiola"

Toni Kroos is one of Real Madrid's key players. The German midfielder opened up on 'Universo Valdano' and explained which coach has best suited his style of play.

"Guardiola fought until the last day for me to stay at Bayern. If I have to choose a coach who is perfect for my style of play, it's him. I really enjoyed the year together, he improved me a lot," Kroos said in a preview of the programme.

Another of the people the German spoke about was Florentino Perez: "He is the man who signed me and received me with great affection from the first day until now. I never remember having a problem with him, we have always been very sincere. He has always defended me and given me his trust. In the end, that's what a player needs.

"I was surprised by Casemiro's departure. It's true that the rumours started two days before, but there are always a lot of rumours here and often nothing happens. But when he told me, I was sad, because I started to remember all the years with him and the things we won together," said Kroos.

Lastly, he addressed the hot topic, the World Cup, which he won't be attending. "I'm sure that when I watch the Germany games, I'll want to play.
