Ousmane Dembélé's injury and subsequent surgery and six-month absence has forced Barcelona to go to the market. There have been a lot of rumours, but Real Sociedad's Willian José has been the most steadily mentioned option and now his coach Imanol talked about the supposed interest.
" If they put the 70 million for William José, there would be nothing left to say," he said, referring to Willian José's buyout clause. Barcelona can now officially make a move for a player in Spain now that Dembelé's long-term injury has been confirmed.
But Imanol did not want to keep discussing the Brazilian player's future, instead focusing on Real Sociedad's hopes in the Copa del Rey. However, he does trust the player will finish his season with his current team.
"He is with us and wants to continue being with us, I do not know until when, but I understand that until the end of the season will continue to be with us," he said.
He considered that the rumours and information about the player's progress will not affect the team, as they are happening since "a month and a half ago" and have not influenced their performance.
