"I was told to be a bit more selfish," says Sancho

Jadon Sancho's remarkable goal against Tottenham Hotspur played a crucial role in Chelsea's dramatic 4-3 comeback victory last weekend. The 24-year-old winger attributed his improved form in front of goal to advice from Chelsea's coaching staff and teammates.

"The staff and the players have been telling me to be a bit more selfish in front of goal and shoot when I get in those positions," Sancho explained. The Englishman's strike, which came in the 17th minute, helped spark Chelsea's resurgence after falling 2-0 behind early in the match.

Sancho's goal was a testament to his growing confidence, as he cut inside from the left flank before unleashing a powerful shot past Tottenham goalkeeper Fraser Forster. Reflecting on the moment, Sancho said, "It was a one-v-one and I saw the opportunity to cut inside, then I saw the space opened up and just thought 'why not?'". 

The winger's dedication to improving his finishing in training has clearly paid off, with his goal against Spurs serving as a highlight of the thrilling encounter. As Chelsea continue their push for a top-four finish, Sancho's newfound confidence in front of goal could prove invaluable for the Blues in the remaining fixtures of the season.
