"I was in my front room in shorts watching Netflix when Chelsea called me"

Frank Lampard has returned to Chelsea after being sacked in 2021 and will be in charge of the Blues until the end of the season. The Englishman previously managed the Blues from July 2019 until January 2021, when he was replaced by Thomas Tuchel.

The 44-year-old spoke to 'BT Sport' ahead of the Champions League match against Real Madrid and revealed what he was doing when the Chelsea board called him.

"I was in my front room in shorts and a T-shirt watching Netflix. It was a big surprise but it's also a big decision for me because I'm very dedicated to my career," he said.

"I want to be a good manager. But the opportunity when it was a huge deal for me," Frank Lampard concluded.
