"I want to stay at Real Madrid," Rodrygo insists again

Rodrygo Goes' words in an interview for “DAZN” in reference to his continuity in the Chamartin team caused a small fire in Madrid that the player himself did not take long to suffocate. After winning his second Champions League, the Real Madrid striker spoke about it again.

"One thing is that they misinterpret your words and another is that they change what you have said. They played the video with images and suspense music. It looked like I was saying goodbye. It bothered me a little bit and then I said what I wanted to say," he said.

Moreover, he assured that his idea was to continue in Madrid next season. He also wanted to clarify that within the dressing room, this controversy did not affect him: "Everyone knows my desire to stay here". And he sent a message to the Madrid fans: ‘I love you forever and my dream was always to be here". 

Rodrygo explained everything that happened and gave his point of view on the Wembley pitch. "The video was made to take advantage of the moment, they took advantage of the fact that there was a Champions League final. If you watch the video, the interview is all cut off, it's not at the end of the interview. When he asked me if I'm going to be at Real Madrid for the rest of my life, I have no way of knowing that. I said I want to be here forever, but I have no way of knowing", he explained.

"In the interview, I said that I still have a contract. When I say that it was a pleasure to be here all these years, I don't say it because I'm going to leave, but because it was a pleasure for me. It's still a dream, I have a contract and the certainty that I will continue," he concluded.
