"Great goal, what can I say? Fantastic. I didn't expect to score that goal, but let's speak about the game," he replied when asked about his stunning second goal.
"I think the game was amazing. We scored three goals against Juve - a great team. We played nice and of course I'm happy. I helped the team, I scored two goals - a great night."
Even the Juventus fans showed their admiration for his second of the night, something that Ronaldo insists will stay with him for a long time. "It was an incredible moment for me. I thank the Juventus fans, nothing like that has ever happened to me in my career. What they did for me was incredible," he enthused.
"The record? I didn't know about it until you told me. I like to hold records, I love playing in the Champions League, We love playing in it, it's our competition," he said when quizzed over surpassing Ruud Van Nistelrooy's Champions League goalscoring record.
On the game, Ronaldo said: "Juve put a lot of pressure on us, we defended really well, the defence did a great job. In the second half we had chances and we scored. That's football, if you don't score you don't win."
Despite Real's significant lead, Ronaldo insists that it is only half-time in the tie. "It's a great result but we still have the second leg at home. We have to be careful. We have to think about the second leg, after that we can think about what might happen," he concluded.
