Today, Suso is one of the best quality players in Milan's history, but the Spaniard's future could have been very different.
When he was just 17-years-old, the player was on the orbit of many European clubs, who were aware of his talent and his potential.
Amongst them, Liverpool were the ones to take the opportunity, but his past, present and future could have been at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to what the footballer revealed with 'Sky Sports', at 17-years-old, he declined a preposition from Real Madrid.
"Before signing for Liverpool there was interest from Real Madrid. An agent told me that the club had come to an agreement with Cadiz. I took the first flight and saw the Ciudad Deportiva, the school and the place where I would have slept with my team mates," the midfielder stated.
"I was one step away from going, but the same day my representative told me that I also had the option of Liverpool. At this time it was very rare to see 18-19-year-old players play in the First Division. In England, on the other hand, young players played more and more than in other competitions. In addition, I wanted to learn English as something important as a personal culture and that's why I chose to go to Liverpool," he finished.
