Former Athletic Club Bilbao captain Iker Muniain was unveiled as a new San Lorenzo player on Monday and said he was physically "fine enough" to make his debut "when the coach wants him to".
The forward appeared alongside president Marcelo Moretti in Buenos Aires, where both showed the numerous media present the new shirt that the Spanish player will wear with the No.80 on his back.
"Sincerely, I feel good. I've been training with my teammates and I'm ready to play now," said Muniain, who admitted to having worked with a fitness trainer over the last few months "to be available and not have to start from scratch and do pre-season".
The Spanish player, who has signed until December 2025 and is accompanied in Buenos Aires by his entire family, arrives at a difficult time for the team, who are 23rd out of 28 in the Argentinian league and are far from the qualification places for international competitions in the table.
