In the last few weeks, Italian media have placed Luiz Felipe in the orbit of Barcelona. The midfielder has all the characteristics to replace Umtiti, who has lost his prominence after his injury and Lenglet's good performances.
The player's agent already spoke on the issue, but it's Luiz Felipe himself who played down the rumours and shut down any possible transfer to the Catalans.
"Of course I'm excited because it means I'm doing a good job and the big clubs are watching, but anyone who knows me knows that I'm a quiet guy and I'm not excited about that. I need to concentrate and think about doing what's best for Lazio, who trusted and supported me from day one," said the defender at 'UOL Esporte'.
As for how the next transfer market will come, the midfielder knows that it will be very different and that there will not be too many movements due to the coronavirus crisis.
"The moment is atypical and we don't know what will happen in the next months. Some leagues have been closed and others are negotiating to see what the measures will be. Everything is difficult and I don't think the clubs are thinking much about transfers. We have a serious situation to resolve," he continued.
As for the return to football in Italy, Luiz Felipe admitted his desire to play again, although he insisted that it must be done safely by all the people involved in the sport.
