Francesco Acerbi spoke to the press ahead of the match against Milan. Inter approach the second leg with a 0-2 lead on aggregate, thanks to goals from Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Italian midfielder showed ambition and spoke about his "positive anxiety": "You have to be positive and have faith in yourself and in the group, you need a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of focus. If we unconsciously think we have even a 1% chance of going through, we would have a problem, but this team doesn't think so. We will do everything we can to get through".
Acerbi stated that the team was ready for a match as big as the derby: "We're prepared, because it's a beautiful game to play. At the same time, it gives you enough adrenaline when you're facing a team like Milan. It will be a difficult game, potentially with big stumbling blocks, but I also want to do something extraordinary, something that would have been inconceivable at the start of the season".
How will they manage their two goal advantage? Here's how Acerbi responded: "We won't be complacent. There's still the whole of the second leg and we haven't done anything there. Everything's to play for, and we only have to focus on ourselves to do something great. We'll need to have the adrenaline".
As expected, Acerbi put the spotlight on Rafael Leao: "It's normal that, after the defeat against Spezia, they're looking for a boost of pride. Leao? Milan have many good champions, but Leao is the most decisive. We will need a team performance to stop him and the whole of Milan."
