Holland 3-1 Bulgaria
Holland clung on to hopes of World Cup qualification in a difficult game against the unpredictable Bulgaria. The Dutch were in control of the game, but a defensive relapse ensured the game maintained an air of excitement almost until the final whistle.
Davy Propper, who notched a brace this afternoon, secured the victory in the final ten minutes, ending any hopes of a Bulgarian comeback. The Netherlands sit in third place in Group A, three points behind second-placed Sweden.
Belarus 0-4 Sweden
The Scandinavian side came up against a weak Belarusian team. They secured the result in the first half thanks to goals from Forsberg, Nyman and Berg. The fourth followed in the final few minutes via a penalty.
Granqvist made no mistake from twelve yards and sealed the three points for Sweden, moving them ever closer to securing a play-off spot.
Faroe Islands 1-0 Andorra
This was a game between two footballing minnows, modest and humble. The Andorran side visited the Faroe Islands but were unable to come away with any points.
Sorensen, in the 31st minute, scored the only goal of the game and increased the gap between the Faroe Islands and the teams below them, Andorra and Latvia, in the fight to avoid being bottom of Group B.
Estonia 1-0 Cyprus
A dull and boring match without chances or good football was won by the Baltic side just before the final whistle. In added time to added time Kait scored the goal which gave the three points to Estonia.
The Estonians now have eight points, two behind Cyprus who are in fourth place with 10. The Cypriots missed a great opportunity to make things a bit tighter at the top of Group H
