No Morata, no problem. Chelsea proved that they can cope without their star striker as they took the lead against Brighton with just three minutes on the clock.

The 'Blues' showed their ruthless touch by taking an early lead at the Amex.

Victor Moses picked up the ball from Michy Batshuayi and crossed low from the right and when Brighton failed to clear, the ball dropped to the feet of Eden Hazard.

The Belgian shimmied to create space for a shot and proceeded to power the ball past Matt Ryan in the home goal.

The goal was the 100th league strike of Hazard's career and his 64th for Chelsea, with the forward having also scored 34 in Ligue 1 for former club Lille.
