Arsenal played their first pre-season friendly against Nurnberg. Arteta's side drew with the German side 1-1 after Saka's great opening goal was cancelled out by Okunuki in the second half.
Kai Havertz, one of the new faces in the Gunners' ranks, made his debut, replacing Reiss Nelson at the start of the second half. The German player spoke at the end of the match and left some interesting quotes: "You know, for me, it's a very big club and to play here is a dream.
"I'm happy to be in this group. I think now I'm here for four days and I feel already very welcome. So I'm happy to be with the boys now," added the former Chelsea player.
Asked about his transfer from the Blues to the Gunners, the striker replied: "I mean, you saw already, you know what Arsenal achieved last year. It's a young group and from outside, when I watched them last year, it was already fun. I felt the energy behind the club, it's a historic club. It's just great now to be here. Hopefully we're going to have a good time and achieve a lot of things.
