Harry Arter extends his contract with Bournemouth for four more years. AFP

Bournemouth's Arter has extended his contract up to four more years, having already played seven seasons for the Premier League side.

Harry Arter has signed a four-year deal with the Premier League club and will remain at the English side until 2021.

The Republic of Ireland international joined Bournemouth from Woking in 2010 and played 238 matches by scoring 28 goals.

"Once I heard the club wanted to give me a new deal, it was a pretty easy decision", he told the club's website.

Bournemouth, who finished ninth in the Premier League last season, will face Portugal's Estoril Praia in a friendly on Sunday.
