Hamburg want to return to the Bundesliga and do so in style. Dieter Hecking's side are guaranteed at least a play-off spot which would be a two legged tie against Fortuna Dusseldorf or Werder Bremen.
But the German outfit are not only thinking about this season. They are also planning to get players for next term in case they gain promotion to the top flight.
According to 'Marca Claro', Jonas Boldt, Hamburg's sporting director, has focussed on two big players in Mexican football. They are Hirving Lozano and Cesar Montes.
"The truth is that Mexican football is not a very cheap market and now given the situation in Hamburg, we should first concentrate on returning to the Bundesliga. There are interesting players: Hirving Lozano and now I loved watching Cesar Montes," Boldt told 'ESPN',
That said, Boldt was clear: "It may not be easy in the first year because the economy needs strengthening, but you never know. Things can change very quickly in football."
