Haaland reaches remarkable milestone: 250 club goals in 297 games

Erling Haaland has made it a habit to break records despite his relatively short career. The Leeds-born Norwegian forward is yet to celebrate 25 years but has already reached 250 professional goals, considering the clubs he has played for throughout his career.

Having debuted with Norwegian second-tier side Bryne at the age of 15, it did not take long to acknowledge he was gifted with a natural talent for the sport. When he was 16 years old, he transferred to his second club, Molde, scoring on his debut for the five-time Eliteserien champions.

He ended his time at Molde having scored 20 goals from 50 appearances for the senior team as he bid farewell to Norway to join RB Salzburg in January 2019. Haaland scored in his fifth official match with the Red Bull-owned team, but after a slow start to life in Austria, he exploded in the following season, gathering attention from top European clubs with memorable Champions League performances.

With 8 goals from 6 games in the elite European tournament, German giants Borussia Dortmund did not think twice before pouncing on the then-19-year-old during the winter transfer market. As a result, Haaland's brief spell at Salzburg concluded with him reaching an incredible goal tally of 29 from 27 appearances.

He arrived at Borussia Dortmund in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, but that did not seem to slow him down as he struck a hat-trick in his first official game for 'Die Schwarzgelben'. He continued with his impressive form, bagging 8 goals within his first 4 games and later reaching his 12th goal by his 8th game for the Bundesliga side.

It was a foregone conclusion that Haaland's time at the Signal Iduna Park would not last much longer  The Norway international could only complete two full seasons at Dortmund before Manchester City paid the then 21-year-old's release clause to bring him to the Etihad, ending his stay in Germany with 86 goals from 89 appearances..

Since the 30th of July 2022, the date of his debut with the Citizens, Erling Haaland has not stopped scoring. His first official goal for Pep Guadiola's side came on August 7 on matchday one of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign against West Ham. Haaland put the ball in the back of the net at the London Stadium in the 36th minute of the clash, sealing a brace before full-time.  With just over two seasons under his belt at the English side, Haaland counts 115 goals from 130 appearances

With this 250th goal, Haaland has now scored in 152 different matches in his career. He counts 49 braces and 16 hat-tricks and has also scored 3 pokers (4 goals in one match) and 2 gluts (5 goals in one match) to his name.
