Guirassy to financially compensate fans after taking No 9 from Haller

Borussia Dortmund have started the Bundesliga with a win and a draw. The newly crowned Champions League runners-up, now coached by Nuri Sahin, are one of the candidates for the title and that's why they reinforced their squad this summer.

One of the new signings was Serhou Guirassy. The Guinean was one of the surprise packages last season with Stuttgart, where he scored a total of 30 goals in 30 games. However, he has not yet been able to make his debut for his new club due to a knee injury.

Even so, there is every reason to believe that the big moment could come on Friday: "When you come back from injury, you may have to be careful over and over again, but I have the feeling that your head plays a big part. In addition to the debut, Guirassy got another piece of good news and that is that he will finally be able to wear the No 9, thus leaving the initial No 19. The reason is that, with Haller leaving for Leganes and not having made his debut with that number, just as he has not made his debut with his own due to injury, the competition allows the change of number even at the start of the championship.

This creates an additional problem, as there were already many fans who had already bought the shirt with the No 19. Despite this, the club and the player himself will cover the costs of each and every one of the people who want to exchange their jersey and get the new one with the new number. A great gesture on his part.

There are high hopes for Guirassy and his goalscoring ability. One of the first challenges ahead of him will be to try to make people forget Fullkrug, who was the team's top scorer last season (along with Malen) with 15 goals.
