Guillermo Ochoa could return to Europe

Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa said he was "sad" about failing to qualify for the knockout rounds but this time he has a new reason to be happy.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Salernitana are very close to reaching an agreement with the goalkeeper. They want to sign him until the end of the season. The player finished his contract with America and he would join the Italian club as a free agent.

Ochoa has the chance to return to Europe at the age of 37 after leaving Standard Liege in January 2019.

All the fans thought it would be his last campaign after five seasons with America. However, the player is in good form and wants to continue playing at the top level.
