After beating Bristol City 0-3, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola spoke in the press conference after booking his side's ticket for the next round of the FA Cup.
With no Erling Haaland, but with Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden starting, the Premier League reigning champions used the tie to give a bit of rest to the players who had played the most and for the new ones to get more and more minutes. The side's only January signing Maximo Perrone played a few minutes in the Citizens' drubbing.
Once the game was over, Pep commented on the good impression the Argentine has given since arriving in Manchester. "I had some videos and reports about him but, honestly, I didn't know him, and neither did his new teammates. I saw him in the first training sessions and I said 'wow, he moves so well", he said in praise.
"He's a player who's quicker with his head than with his feet. I think he'll grow with us in rhythm and physical terms. Sometimes we're looking for players to play in positions where there's less space. He's good, really very good", Guardiola concluded about Perrone.
