Group G's top spot could be decided by cards

The two European sides will be battling it out for top position in their final group match after they both secured qualification to the Round of 16 this weekend.

Belgium beat Tunisia 5-2 while England defeated Panama 6-1 but the scorelines have set up an interesting predicament in Group G. 

If the two sides draw on Thursday evening, they will have the same number of points, goal difference and goals scored.

It means top spot would be decided by who has received the fewest number of cards.

At the moment, Gareth Southgate's side edge the head-to-head with just two yellows, one less than Belgium's three.

Obviously, if either side went out and won, they would top the group without requiring any of FIFA's tiebreakers.
