Andy Robertson was seen to be furious with the former England U-21 international, after he went down in the box claiming that a penalty should be awarded.
After the match the Liverpool defender claimed that Hughes should have been booked for simulation, while Hughes himself defended his actions in an interview to 'Sky Sports' and attested that contact was made.
'Hornets' manager Javi Gracia has now added his thoughts to the debate, saying: "I can't believe it. I know Will Hughes and I don't have any doubt there was contact in that play. I don't have any doubt.
"But, at the end of the game, I prefer to be polite and respectful with the referee's decision, but if you ask me now about if Will Hughes dives or not dives in that play - I can't believe it."
