Two days before the end of the winter transfer window, Olivier Giroud still does not know which team he will play for in February. The Frenchman had several suitors although Inter Milan were in the best position to get hold of him.
However, everything seems to have turned 180 degrees in recent hours. Inter seem to want to go for young players. The 17 year-old Sebastiano Esposito would be the biggest beneficiary of this. Luckily for the Frenchman, Tottenham are interested in him.
As 'Sky Sports' published this Wednesday, the Londoners are thinking of giving the striker an 18 month contract. That is to say, Giroud would become a Spurs player until June 2021.
The agreement with Inter Milan seemed a fact. The Italian club were about to invest 20 to 25 million euros according to what was published in recent days by 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' and 'Corriere dello Sport'. Everything has changed overnight though.
