Getafe announced on Tuesday the signing of Cristian Portugues, 'Portu', for next season. He arrives from Real Sociedad on loan with an option to buy.

After more than a week of negotiation, Cristian Portugues 'Portu' is already a Getafe player. The Madrid team has reached an agreement with Real Sociedad to sign the player.

The player from Murcia arrives to the Spaniards on loan, with a buyout clause that Getafe can exercise at the end of the 2022-23 season.

'Portu' has already passed the medical with Dr. Pedro Guillen, head of traumatology at the CEMTRO Clinic, and will join the team at the beginning of the preseason.

The player from Murcia had been unhappy with the minutes he had played at Real Sociedad in the last season, so he was looking for a way out.

Although Imanol Alguacil wanted to count on the winger, 'Portu' finally got his way by joining Getafe on loan.
