The Polish Football Association (PZPN) took the decision to sack Czeslaw Michniewicz after they were knocked out of the World Cup at the hands of France, which means they are currently looking for a new manager.
With that in mind, according to 'Liverpool Echo', Steven Gerrard is the main candidate to take up the reins of the Polaish side ahead of the next big challenge: the 2024 Euros.
The Englishman is now without a club after leaving Aston Villa, where he had a great start, but could not maintain form and was eventually replaced by Unai Emery.
What is for sure is that Gerrard now has an interesting offer from Poland to consider, who initially tried to sign Roberto Martinez, but the Spaniard ended up going to the Portugal national side.
Gerrard's entourage are considering other offers before taking a decision. The Poles' offer has not yet been ruled out, even though the ex-Liverpool man would be more interested in staying in club football for a bit longer, with the idea of getting more experience before being in charge of a national side.
