Sevilla's interest in Lucumí remains active now that the transfer market has opened again and he now has an exit price: 20 million euros. That is the figure that, according to 'Estadio Deportivo', Genk will let one of their shining stars leave for.
His market value is 8.4 million, but he is under contract until 2022, therefore his owners have full control over what to ask his suitors for. The aforementioned source also adds to its information that other teams such as Rennes also have him on their agenda.
The Sevilla board's position is the following: they don't want to pay so much and hope that the player makes a move to put pressure on and leave for cheaper. The most likely thing is that, however much he chooses to leave, he doesn't leave for a price that's far from what they've asked for.
But why do Sevilla want him? His figures suggest why. This season, at just 22 years old, he has played 29 matches and started 28. With two goals to his name, he has become an indispensable footballer in his team's defence, where he can play as a LCB or LB.
