Galtier apologises for Champions League loss

The defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last-16 first leg left Galtier annoyed. The Paris Saint-Germain coach gave his point of view on the European clash.

"Do you think it's normal to play with a 16 year old . Warren Zaire-Emery - in a Champions League knock-out game? The circumstances forced me to. There were lots of players out. We wanted to control Bayern in the first half to attack them after when Mbappe came on. If you think that I liked watching that team in the first half, I think you'd be disrespecting me", he responded to a journalist.

"I accept the criticism and all types of comments. You have your job and I do mine. My players work hard. I can't have any complaint in that department. I'll always back them. Now, am I happy with the performance? Of course not", he added.

The French manager needs a win to ease the atmosphere. He's got three weeks ahead to turn things around. The second leg against the Germans at the Allianz Arena is the Parisians most important of all.
