One of the Arsenal fringe players now has a potential new team in the home comfort of English football. The player in question is goalkeeper, Bernd Leno. The German has reached an agreement in principle with Premier League club, Fulham, to sign for them ahead of next season.
Originally, The Gunners were looking for a fee closer to 10 million pounds for their player. However, according to 'Sky Sports', the North London club are now happy to listen to offers around 8 million pounds for the keeper.
The 30 year old German only appeared in eight matches last season across the Premier League, EFL Cup, and FA Cup. He conceded a total of eleven goals across said appearances. The footballer has represented his country on nine occasions as well as featuring numerous times for his national team in its youth set-up during his development into a professional.
Arsenal signed Leno for 25 million euros from Bayer Leverkusen. This is a figure far inferior to his current asking price. Should the loose ends of the deal be tied up, the goalkeeper will soon be completing his fifth season in the Premier League. This time round as a Fulham player.
