From Thorgan to Eden: is the younger Hazard surpassing his brother?

Comparisons are often unfair, but they are what make us understand the reality of things. Eden has always been the most mediatic player in the Hazard family thanks to his amazing numbers at Chelsea, but he has not been able to repeat his performances this campaign.

The Real Madrid player came to Spain for 100 million euros and Thorgan went to Borussia Dortmund for 25, taking a step further in his personal growth as a player in one of the biggest teams in the Bundesliga, and he is taking advantage of it.

Now it is Thorgan, not Eden, who is pulling the strings for his team, unlike when they were playing for Chelsea and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively. The younger brother, with Kylian Hazard's permission, is getting older and has accumulated 20 games, three goals and eight assists for Dortmund, and his return from the break has been particularly eye-catching.

Thorgan has scored one goal and given two assists in the first three games, so he is leading the way for his brother Eden, who is slowly recovering from injury and hopes to be back in La Liga by the end of his first season. 

A solitary goal and two assists are the numbers of the Real Madrid star due to injury, figures that had not been seen for years for the Belgian star. 

"I feel very good to be back and working with my teammates. After two months away, I need more physical work and more ball, so I just want to be ready for the next game," said Hazard in his first words after returning to training. The Hazard brothers are all looking forward to the final stretch of a special campaign marked by the coronavirus.
