From scare to euphoria: Oyarzabal opens the scoring in the final after a Theo crossbar

After a first few minutes in which France put the fear into Spain's body, Luis Enrique's side began to grow in the game through possession, although they were unable to trouble Hugo Lloris.

In the second half, 'la Roja' were in total control, but they came close to an upset when Theo hit the woodwork on a French counter-attack.

However, far from shrinking from the scare, Spain responded in the best possible way: with a goal from Mikel Oyarzabal, who had been the best player so far.

From a through ball, the Real Sociedad player beat a Dayot Upamecano who was at his softest and planted himself in the box.

There, with coolness and class, the striker unleashed a low left-footed cross that Lloris could do nothing about as he saw the ball go into the back of his net.
