Espanyol confirmed Cesar Montes' signing. He is a Mexican central defender who comes from playing for Rayados Monterrey. The defender represented the Mexican national team at the World Cup in Qatar 2022. The player signed with the Spanish side until the 2028.

Espanyol announced on Tuesday the signing of Mexican centre-back Cesar Montes, who has signed with the Spanish club until 30th June 2028.

The player arrives from Rayados Monterrey, who are one of Mexico's most successful clubs. The Mexican national team footballer arrived in the city of Barcelona on Tuesday.

In addition, the defender will be presented on 29th December at the RCDE Stadium.

The Catalan team emphasised the "enormous projection" and "talent" of Cesar Montes in their announcement.
