Mbappe, Neymar and Di Maria did not shine in PSG's victory over Angers in Ligue 1. This is significant because the front three are usually key for the French outfit. They did not have their day and 'L'Equipe' analysed their poor performances.
The paper said Mbappe did little in the first period and highlighted the fact he is yet to score in 2021. He was actually substituted before the match ended. It was probably done at Pochettino's request despite him not being at the ground becaude of coronavirus.
Neymar showed flashes of brilliance like when he nutmegged an opponent to start a counterattack, but he was also criticised. "With lots of freedom to move, but without really being decisive. He improved a bit in the second half," 'L'Equipe commented.
Di Maria, just like the Brazilian, improved as the game went on, but he did not do enough. "Lack of technique and precision in passes and crosses in the first half. He improved slightly after the hour mark." Fortunately for all three, PSG won the game.
