Forster pens new Saints deal

The 29-year-old had agreed a contract last summer until 2021, but the former Celtic stopper has now extended that for another season.

Forster arrived from Celtic in 2014 and has established himself as one of the top flight's finest 'keepers, playing in all 38 league games last season and featuring 103 times in all competitions in Saints colours.

"I€'m delighted. I have absolutely loved my time here at Southampton so far and when the opportunity came along to extend it I didn't think twice about it," said Forster.

Forster has six England caps and was a member of the 2014 World Cup and Euro 2016 squads, although he didn't play at either tournament.
