Fornals makes most of low intensity of Joe Gomez and Alisson to open scoring

The first goal in the match between Liverpool and West Ham was from Pablo Fornals. The midfielder made the most of neither the Liverpool defence nor keeper being in full form to make it 1-0 in the first 10 minutes of the match.
From a cross from the wing, Joe Gomez cleared quite badly and gifted the ball to his opponent. He controlled it with his chest, took the ball down and hit it in Alisson's bottom corner with the inside of his right foot. The goalkeeper could have done better: he went down late.
However, he had a defender just in front, so perhaps he struggled to see where the ball was going. The shot was of enough quality, and although it didn't shine because of its power, it did because of its placement. And it's well known that low shots to one side hurt keepers.
In any case, this was Fornals' second goal this season. He already scored in the 3-0 win against Leicester City. West Ham United are having a great start to the season and, if they continue like that, will have a lot to say in the top half of the table.
