Arsenal drew the first leg of their quarter-final against Bayern Munich 2-2 at the Emirates Stadium in a match that Gunners coach Mikel Arteta himself said gave the Germans two goals.
Former Tottenham Hotspur star Rafael van der Vaart criticised on Dutch TV the performance of goalkeeper David Raya, questioning whether he is even a goalkeeper.
"Take a look at Raya. Is this guy even a goalkeeper? Kane doesn't even make a movement but Raya just falls to the ground already," said Van der Vaart.
The Spanish goalkeeper was also criticised by former Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand for the first goal conceded by the Gunners, fuelling the Arsenal goalkeeping debate.
"Why are you out there in no man's land? It's a bad pass from Gabriel but it's about Bayern here. The weight of the pass and the run, the timing could not have been more perfect. Here, you see Raya, why are you there? The defender has it under supreme control and then it's a misplaced pass, but they capitalise on that."
