Harry Kane
After a collision with Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic on Sunday, the Englishman went down clutching his right ankle - a joint with which he has suffered previously. Rumours have circulated that Kane is likely to be out for the next seven weeks. It will then be a race for fitness for the striker to get back to his prolific goalscoring level when England kick off against Tunisia on 18th June.
Neymar
The Brazilian appeared to roll his ankle in PSG's 'Classique' with rivals Marseille. Following medical checks, it was revealed that Neymar suffered a broken metatarsal and is likely to miss the rest of the season. He chose to fly back to his homeland to be operated on.
National allegiances aside, it goes without saying that all football fans will be crossing their fingers that they get to see Neymar's tricky footwork in Russia.
Benjamin Mendy
The Manchester City left-back suffered cruciate knee ligament damage around six months ago and has been sidelined ever since. The good news for French fans is that Mendy returned to full training last week and is recovering well with the World Cup just around the corner.
Manuel Neuer
The Germany No. 1 has broken his foot three times in the last 12 months and travelled to Thailand to rest up. Whilst it seems there are no doubts he'll be available for his national side in the summer, whether he'll be back to his usual sharpness or not is another question.
Steven Defour
The Belgian Burnley winger underwent successful knee surgery last month and isn't likely to return to club duties this campaign. After playing an integral role in the Red Devils' qualifying, he'll be keen to do his country proud in three months time.
