Fiorentina loan Duncan to Cagliari

Alfred Duncan has changed teams in the Serie A. He leaves Fiorentina, where he wasn't enjoying much importance, and joins the ranks of Cagliari, where he hopes to take a step forward. It is a loan with option to buy.

Although the club didn't specify the figures, various Italian media outlets such as Corriere dello Sport said that the deal was 1 million euros for the loan and 15 if the board decide to keep the player. This price is quite superior to his market value.

"Cagliari Calcio is pleased to announce that it has acquired from Fiorentina the sports rights of the footballer Joseph Alfred Duncan, who is moving to Sardinia on a loan with an option to buy until the end of the season", the statement read.

Duncan is a midfielder with more presence in the opposition's half than in his own. This season, he has played just five games, three of which he started. He didn't get on the scoresheet, although he did score at least one goal in previous seasons.
