FC Barcelona's reserve team, Barca Atletic, are looking for reinforcements and scouts have set their sights on Wesley, a young defender from Flamengo. The board have already set up a meeting with his agents to see if he would be willing to try out for the 'Cules' youth team.
Filipe Luis, Wesley's teammate, does not know whether or not he will go to Spain, but believes he could do well at Barca. "He has things to improve, but he would learn them faster there," the former Atletico man told 'Mundo Deportivo'.
For the Brazilian, Wesley is "a great player". "Up front he's a beast, it looks like he's on a motorbike. He has a good dribbling, defensively he's very strong and quick," added the left-back to the description of the Catalan giants' target.
And, on the issues that need to be improved, Filipe Luis listed the following: "He has to improve the issue of closing down spaces. He has to work especially in defence, but at a tactical level, not physically".
He admits that he would like him to stay with him in the team, although he has no doubt that he is ready to make the leap to any big club. "I wish he could stay longer at Flamengo because he is a player who is going to succeed," he said.
