The 'FIFA virus' has hit Liverpool at a time when they were already down men because of injuries. One of the latest injuries in defence was Joe Gomez, who could miss the rest of the season.
The central had to go through surgery after being hit hard during a training session with the English national team. This may help to ease the burden on Liverpool's coffers.
The 'Mirror' assured that it will have to be the FIFA that takes care of the salary of the player while he is injured. All this is part of the insurance that the national teams sign in order to have the players.
In order for FIFA to take charge of the salary, the player must be absent for a period of more than 28 days, a time that the defender will far exceed in his recovery.
In addition, the maximum amount of money that FIFA has to give for the player's salary is 7.5 million euros.
