All three players on the final shortlist have realistic hopes of individual glory, when the award for FIFA Women's footballer of the year is announced on Monday. Marta of Orlando Pride in the NWSL ; Dzsenifer Marozsan of Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1, and Ada Hegerberg also of Olympique Lyonnais, have all played instrumental roles in the respective achievements of their clubs and countries this past year. And so, there is no clear front-runner for the gong.
