It is thought that the stunt was to taunt the Racing team about their attitude and ability. The incident, instead, caused the game to be halted for several minutes and frustrated the Fenix boss Gaston Alegari.
Fenix have been sanctioned for the stunt and will have to play one match away from their home stadium as a result.
In addition, Racing defeated Fenix 1-0, scoring the goal just five minutes before the full 90 minutes. Although, Fenix remain one spot ahead of the winners in the league positions.
Alegari has come under fire from animal activists for violently kicking one of the birds across the pitch in anger and has since apologised on social media for his behaviour.
He wrote: ''I am sorry for the events that happened yesterday. That's not the way I would act. The situation in the moment led me to react in an unmeasured and unsuitable way. I ask the public to accept my apology for my actions.''
