The Algerian midfielder went into a challenge with Red Devils defender Phil Jones, and despite there not being much in the tackle, Mike Dean sent him packing.
Sofiane Feghouli was sent off after just 15 minutes against Manchester United on Monday evening, the fasted red card of the Premier League season.
The 27-year-old midfielder had a heavy touch, leading him to go sliding in in an attempt to retrieve the ball and in the process collide with Phil Jones.
Despite replays showing there was very little in it, referee Mike Dean was quick to show the Algerian a straight red with just a third of the first half played.
It was little surprise to the supporters, however, as the Hammers have received more red cards than any other Premier League club since the start of last season.
