Everything you need to know about La Liga resumption

There will be football in the Spanish top flight for the first time in over three months. It isn't actually the first game in Spain, as Rayo Vallecano beat Albacete in the Second division on Wednesday.

The first game of the matchday takes place between Sevilla and Real Betis on Thursday 11th June. 22:00 CET. Sevilla are looking to qualify for the Champions League group stages (they are third), and a win would take them four points above Getafe who are 5th. A win for Betis will seem them leapfrog Osasuna into 12th.

There are two matches on Friday evening. The first between Granada and Getafe (19.30 CET), and the second between Valencia and Levante (22:00 CET). A Granada win can take them closer to the promised land of Europa League qualification, while a Getafe win takes them into the Champions League spots. If Valencia beat Levante they will consolidate their position in the European spots.

Four games on Saturday, with bottom placed Espanyol facing Alavés (14:00 CET), Celta playing Villarreal (17:00 CET), Leganés at home to Real Valladolid (19:30 CET), and Mallorca entertaining Barcelona (22:00 CET). If Mallorca upset the Catalan giants, they will move out the relegation zone, while if Barcelona win they move five points clear. Leganés will be hoping to beat Valladolid to help them escape the drop, as will Celta.

Sunday sees Real Madrid host Eibar, looking to keep the pressure on Barcelona. They kick-off at 19:30 CET. In the other fixture, Real Sociedad look to keep their Champions League dreams alive at home to Osasuna (22:00 CET). Atlético face Athletic Bilbao in Sunday's early kick-off (14:00). The home side are 6th, with the away side 10th.
