Epic Ben Yedder: hat-trick in 10 minutes to come from 2-0 down and put Monaco in 2nd place

Monaco needed a win and a defeat for Olympique de Marseille to complete their overtake and reach the second position, which gives the right to enter the Champions League directly.

The match against a Brest side with nothing at stake seemed like a golden opportunity to pull off an epic, especially as the Marseille side were at home to fourth-placed Rennes.

However, things could not have got off to a worse start as Duveme and Belaïli made it 0-2 within the first 20 minutes. Wissam Ben Yedder, who is very good at scoring goals, came to the rescue for the principality side.

And he proved it with an impressive hat trick in just ten minutes. He made it 1-2 in the 44th minute, just moments before the end of the first half. In the 51st minute he equalised with a left-footed shot from the centre of the box. The madness came just three minutes later, with a header into the top corner.
