El Shahat, the first scorer of the Club World Cup

The match between Al-Ahly and Auckland City hosted a new Club World Cup record. New Zealand striker Emiliano Tade became the player with the most appearances in the international tournament.

Moreover, the first goal scorer of this year's tournament was announced in the same match. El Shahat scored the first goal of the competition.

Ahmed Abdelkader crossed from the left flank and passed to El Shahat, who tried his luck from long range and scored the goal with the help of Auckland City goalkeeper Tracey.

The New Zealand-born goalkeeper reacted late to the powerful shot and the ball flew into the net.
