Julian Weigl could be in his final few hours as a Benfica footballer. The German player, whose contract runs until 2024, has been a fundamental player in the last two and a half seasons he has been at the Portuguese club.
In total, the attacking midfielder has made a total of 112 appearances, scored five goals and given three assists. Numbers which, however, do not his importance in the team justice.
Nevertheless, Benfica are willing to look for a departure for him, as 'A Bola' pointed out. The need to obtain liquidity to make other signings could see him leave the Estadio Da Luz.
On this, the Portuguese media outlet said that Eintracht Frankfurt would be willing to put in a strong bid for him. Benfica will not sell him for less than 20 million euros, an amount which the Germans are reportedly willing to reach.
