Dunk slammed Brighton into the lead

The defender rose high to nod home Solly March's excellent delivery from deep on the left wing.

Sol Bamba was nowhere near Dunk, and his positioning could come in for criticism when the goal is analysed.

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock would have been fuming at conceding from a set-piece, as the manager typically prides his teams on their ability at dead-ball situations.

The goal came from the first real opportunity for either side in a tight game at the bottom of the Premier League, with the teams in 12th and 18th at the start of the match.
