In recent years, Borussia Dortmund have been able to compete with Europe's top clubs thanks to their discovering of young talent throughout the continent. In an effort to follow this tradition, they now have their eye on Sasa Kalajdzic.
According to 'Kicker', the Stuttgart striker is on the list of Michael Zorc, Dortmund's sporting director, as one of the names to reinforce their forward line.
This forward line could seriously suffer if the club agrees to the sale of Erling Haaland, who is sought after by the likes of Barça, Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Kalajdzic shares certain aspects with Haaland: A prodigious physique (he is two metres tall), he still has room for improvement at 23 and he has shown he has an eye for goal.
In his second season with Stuttgart he is on fire and has recorded 14 goals in 29 games between the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal.
Now an Austrian international, Kalajdzic can become Dortmund's first choice replacement in the event of Haaland's departure.
