Although all three are yet to be officially crowned champions, Barca, City and Juve are enjoying unprecedented success in the league this season.
Ernesto Valverde's side are 11 points ahead of second-placed Atletico Madrid in La Liga while City have a 13-point cushion over Manchester United in the Premier League.
Serie A is slightly closer, Juventus are just four clear of Napoli in second but have had the better run of form of late and are keen to secure their seventh consecutive Scudetto.
However, when turning attention to the Champions League, all suffered heartbreaking defeats in the quarter-finals to see their European dream sail off into the distance.
Pep Guardiola and City were outclassed by league rivals Liverpool over the two legs, falling 5-1 on aggregate. They even failed to register a single shot on target throughout the entirety of the first fixture.
Barcelona's was the most surprising. Having secured a 4-1 lead at the Camp Nou, 'Los Cules' travelled to Rome knowing just one goal would probably kill the tie off... But they couldn't find it. Instead, Roma hit back with three unanswered goals to progress on the away goal rule, securing only the third three-goal comeback in Champions League history.
Last but certainly by no means least, Juventus were also eliminated in controversial fashion. They emulated Roma by turning round a three goal deficit to Real Madrid to be drawing 3-3 and heading for extra-time before Lucas Vazquez won a penalty at the death, Gianluigi Buffon seeing red during the protests, to give Cristiano Ronaldo centre-stage to steer 'Los Blancos' through.
It means Barca, City and Juve are all left without European glory this year and with it, their hopes of securing a treble slip through their fingers, leaving just Bayern Munich to fly the flag for league and continental dominance.
